I got a leve 165 Kama mag that i ahve been raising from the begning of my game. When it hit level 50 it evovled but did not gain a third photon blast...i disregarded it saying it would gain it soon. It still has not gained it and wondered if i should give up on rasiing this mag and start another? what u think?

Give it to a friend. Let them feed it. It will evolve and probably gain the third Photon Blast. Then have your friend return it. I think when u feed it again it will turn back into Kama and keep the photon blast it learned. I am not positively sure though... I am sure about the friend part.
or you could change the stats around, ie: say curantly your kama is pow>dex>mind switch it to pow>mind>dex, or mind>pow>dex etc.....
and if you change it before it hits a multiple of 5 ie: lvl 170(in your case) it should evolve taking a a different form, if that still does not give you a new pb then try to switch up your stats in a new combo...
