Um... so why don't i ever see the actual boards for grinders

I always get the base grinders, but i still have yet to see a board to actually make them. Am I missing something here?

You buy them in the synthesis shop on Cylez City.

Correct, you find the bases (or buy them, with exception of Grinder Base S) and buy the boards in store.
