Im on 360 so i cant really say about the the population, but as far as the expansion, your gonna miss some things and i would DEFINATLY plan on saving for it. It just seems like a no brainer to me, its a little more, but you can take full advantage of the game so...

    get the expansion

pc/ps2 servers aren't very well populated, but you will find some parties in universe two. It's mostly soloing if you're hunting an item. There are always lvling parties at the spots that give high exp, like White Beast.

You're gonna want to get the expansion asap. Event (MAG) restarts this friday, and you must have AOI to participate. Big EXP boost, lots of good item drops.

You will be able to level your character and likely meet most of the pc/ps2 community (it's rather small, but everyone knows everyone type deal). So I'd highly recommend picking up the expansion as soon as you can. To answer your question, you will be missing out on a lot during the next 3 weeks if you don't have the expansion.

yea try to get it by friday or at least within the next 2 weeks.

Big event called MAG, you can level up your character really really fast there and has a section of each PSO level in the MAG level

throw u into a familiar environment with new gameplay :P lol

The expansion makes the game sooo much better! MAG is awesome for leveling characters fast so its a perfect time to join! I am on PC/PS2 and I would be happy to help anyway I can. I can show you around maybe get you all the lobbies if you havent got them all yet.

Right now, a lot of people are playing the mission White Beast on the expansion. By Aug. 1st, the new updates will be here if there isn't any delayed by Sega Team and everything is going well, people will be at Colony 5th floor to do MAG (maximum attack G mission).

    There you go and enjoy!

edit: nevermind, what i just stated has already been mention by a few posts above. But yeah, hope you received your expansion soon.
