When the house lights go down this fall, a new generation of guitarists, drummers and fearless frontmen will come together and rock with Guitar Hero World Tour. The latest installment in the #1 best-selling video game franchise of 2007, Guitar Hero World Tour transforms music gaming by expanding Guitar Hero's signature guitar gameplay into a cooperative band experience that combines the most advanced wireless controllers with new revolutionary online and offline gameplay modes including Band Career and 8-player "Battle of the Bands," which allows two full bands to compete head-to-head online for the first time ever. The game features a slick newly redesigned guitar controller, drum kit controller and a microphone, as well as an innovative Music Studio music creator that lets players compose, record, edit and share their own rock 'n' roll anthems. Music creators will also be able to share their recordings with their friends online through GHTunes where other gamers can download and play an endless supply of unique creations.

Guitar Hero World Tour is being developed by Neversoft Entertainment for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system. The Wii version is being developed by Vicarious Visions. The PlayStation2 computer entertainment system version is being developed by Budcat.
Not to mention that you will also be able to import your own songs and make your own note charts along with the help of a Line6 POD. This is gonna be pretty awesome

Very nice list. I am very happy that RB and GH:WT instruments will be compatible for the 360, now all I have to do is sell my RB Wii and get RB 360 (insert long reason here) and just pick up the RB2 and GH:WT disks.

I might have to do one of those double bass pedal things for Van Halen. The live versions will be different. Some funny songs, some sound like they'll be awesome.

Hah, very rare Metallica song there.

And man, I'm gonna love the Ozzy songs, especially Mr. Crowley.

I FUCKING CALL VOCALS ON MISERY BUSINESS. LULZ

Some of these classics are a big turn on, eye of the tiger? lmao.

Hot for the teacher is going to be sick on Guitar.

Beat it should be um..interesting..No really..

..Michael Jackson isn't half bad, cmon now ;O

EDIT: I just totally ignored the fact that new BfmV is on there. HOT.

that set list has really made my day - shame all the new instruments are gonna cost me 2 arms and legs.
    I'm straight, so what?

Whilst there's some songs there I really do like, it's taken the GH3/RB trend one step further with the amount of duplicate songs on both this and RB2.

Assassin, Rooftops, Scream Aim Fire and Beat It have me tempted >_>

Doesn't look too bad... But right now, I'm going to pick up Rock Band 2 in just a bit.

I'm holding off for GH:WT but I might pick up Rock band 2.

    Los Lobos - "La Bamba"
    Mars Volta - "L'Via L'Viaquez"

I can't wait to sing songs in spanish!

Yeah, that's right Activision, you take Tokio Hotel. No really, take them

Decent setlist, though there's a lot that doesn't interest me as well. Scream Aim Fire and a few others should be cool though.

I'm mainly looking forward to the song creator to be honest- if I buy the game. I gotta admit, I'm more interested in Rock Band 2 (European release date please, EA? D: )

The thing that will make or break GH:WT for me is the charting/timing windows though. The timing window for notes on GH3 (I didn't play GH:A) was ridiculously huge. Decent tracklist though, but in my opinion there's too many shared songs between this and RB2 and not enough exclusive 'killer songs'.

Put in Children of Bodom and a couple other bands and add in a keyboard. Boom.
