Ok, if you've made it this far, you must really want to know. I'll give you props for sticking around. For all you know, those spoiler tags could have had meatspin links embedded
However, I will now award you with a bit of seriousness.
TLM is a PSU PC/PS2 group that was founded summer 2007, mainly by friends and friends of friends, and other friends that could have been friends had they not been friends already. Several members were previously in a guild that had failed. Their self-proclaimed "leader" had quit PSU, and wanted most of the guild to switch to another game. The remaining group pretty much broke off, grabbed a few new faces, and were determined to continue having a good time playing PSU - something they have accomplished for over a year now.
TLM is the exception to every guild, group, or clan that has ever existed in any game. We have no leaders, we have no agenda, we have no lives. We are a group of friends that enjoy playing PSU, whether it be competitively, casually, or sometimes a mix of the two (yes it can be done). While we don't promote elitism, several members are very competitive players, and encourage obtaining the best gear, playstyles, and strategies. The difference between us and elitists is that we will not hold it above your head if that's not the way you want to play. Everyone pays their $10 a month, we realize that entitles you to play the game how you like.
Phew, that being said, we have been looking for a few fresh new faces to welcome on in. While we know and have been tossing around several names from this community, we are not a recruiting group or guild. Basically what that means is nobody is going to be handing out invitations to join. With us becoming public, we are basically sending an open invitation to anyone interested, all you have to do is reply.
We are also avid ventrilo whores, as it has heightened the overall PSU experience for all of us. What that means is if you are intending on joining, it is
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you have ventrilo on the PC you play PSU on, OR have a close PC or Laptop capable of running vent for PS2 users. Vent requirements are extremely low, and can easily be installed on most PC's including XP and Vista. If you have vent, but not a working headset, vent also supports a chat feature making it still easy to communicate with other people in the channel.
So if you made it this far and are now thinking "wow, this sounds pretty sweet!
AND I haven't been meatspun, rickroll'd, mcroll'd, cosbied OR tuntumble'd yet!! I think I may want to join!" well, you are in for a treat. To get yourself started, simply post your interest in this thread, or if you prefer to be kept anonymous, send a PM and I will forward your interest.
We're all about just having fun with PSU. If you are in the same "boat" and want a few people to chill with, get some decent games in, or just want to shoot the shit about PSU with, let us know. We'll do our best to get everyone interested involved.
Peace.
