Mother 3 translation patch is out!

Mother 3 is for the GBA.

Also, it's out now! And boy is the translation great! It's nice being able to tell what is going on without going from GBA to guide. Wonderful wonderful~

Grargh, I'm at work and have plans for tonight. But either later this evening or tomorrow, I'm going to go play this like crazy.

I also just pre-ordered the fan-made player's guide. I did this for several reasons.

1.) It's awesome that they made one. - I love the Starmen.net community. These guys are so dedicated to their cause. They're going out of their way simply to make the MOTHER 3 patch release as much like a real game release as possible, and I love 'em for it.

2.) It's trying to emulate the awesome Earthbound Player's Guide - I dunno how many of you played the videogames back in the day, but Earthbound came packaged with the Nintendo Power Player's Guide. This guide was awesome. It contained images of clay models for all the different characters and enemies. At the beginning of each game area's section, they had a fake front page from that location's local newspaper. IT WAS AWESOME. Well, the fan-made guide for MOTHER 3 has custom-made clay figures of many of the major characters and enemies, along with (what looks like) those crazy newspaper pages again. I'm sorry, I have to repeat that everyone involved in that community is awesome.

I'd just like to add that I'm about an hour into this and it is glorious.
