    Default Movie Etiquette

Somehow I feel like I've ranted about this before, but I don't care. OK, so I went to the movies last night with a friend that doesn't shut up. This aggravated the people behind us, which I understand, but they decided to periodically kick MY seat. I never said a word either. The other friend that was with us kept telling him to shut up, and I didn't even do that. Then one of them (they were rednecks--sorry, but they were ) put their feet on the back of the seat next to me, so they were right by my head... This in combination with cell phones going off, kids crying, and strange laughter at weird moments is why I hate going to movies on opening weekends. h8 h8 h8

This really annoys me too. I really hate theaters filled with retarded high schoolers, babies with terrible parents, and cell phone addicts.

They should have extremely accurate rifles mounted to the theater walls that shoots anyone using a cell phone to talk during the movie, or is being otherwise extremely disruptive, right in the head on the spot. Or maybe a ninja usher who beheads them at lightspeed.

    "what's going on dad!?"
    "dad what's going on!?"
    The fun never ends.

Seriously, I have nothing against the mentally retarded, but don't take them to the movies if you don't have an effective way of shutting them up.

They should have signal disrupters in movie theaters.

Or specially designed EMPs for cell phones.

I wish I had that for people on cell phones while they're driving.

    Technology's already there.

The only problem is, that people have to have a phone that supports it, but there is a system that institutions as such can install that will auto-silence phones within x distance of the transmitter. Unfortunately, I don't think many (if any) places are actually implementing it.

As for movie etiquette... It's suprisingly hard for people the three real rules of moviegoing: Sit down, shut the hell up, and don't bug other people (which encompasses turning your phone/devices to off or silent).

ProTip: To damage your credibility, simply call any of the Phantasy Star games "massively-multiplayer."

A lot of assholes people see them merely as suggestions rather than rules.

It's like they're special or something.

Never really had much issues with this.

I always try to sit in the very back or near the very back though.

Though this begs the question why the heck you went to the movies with Yappy-Friend knowing full well he was going to yap anyway...I mean, I certainly don't think it was right of you to get your seat kicked or anything...but still...

Does whispering ever help? I usually do so in movies.
