Just saw it, and without any spoilers, I enjoyed the ride, but it really left me wanting more. Tons and tons of action, and it's all very well done. Daniel Craig is shaping up to be quite the Bond.

What do you guys think?

I do want to go see it (mainly for the Watchmen trailer ), but I've heard that while it is a really good, well-made action movie, it misses the point that James Bond is not Jason Bourne.

i'm not a big fan of james bond, but i enjoyed craig's movies so far. this one is certainly the better out of those and hell, i'm not missing the gadgets and over the top silliness a bit. the 'revenge' plot however is really nicely done and craig's bond has a lot of charm to him.

as a welldone action movie - two thumbs up.
bond fans however, i dunno if those would like it.

I didn't know what the hell was going on, but maybe that's my fault for never seeing Casino Royale. I definitely suggest seeing it first. :/ From what I did get though, it had too much action and not enough story for me.

That's the thing, they actually took most of the story out and put in more action thus just making is another Jason Bourne movie, only with Bond.

I thought it was pretty good. I noticed that since Craig became Bond they've been aiming for a more realistic Bond. The kind of Bond Ian Flemming envisioned when he created him I Believe around the early 60's. Everyone didn't like how Casino Royale lacked in action when it actually had loads more action than the book. But, I think they took it a bit too serious when they put the action into this Bond movie. There was just too damn much of it. One second he's in Haiti beating the living crap out of some guy and the next he's in Austria beating the crap out of some other guy. One things for sure is that this Bond movie is the first to be a direct sequel to another. If you know nothing about Casino Royale, chances are that you will be lost the entire movie.
After my friends and I saw it Saturday, we seemed rather disappointed. Lol, they dragged me along to the theaters to see the new Bond movie but they were confused throughout the whole movie XD. We all seemed disappointed at 1st, but now that I've put more thought into it, I have this new found respect for the direction the Bond movie's are going in and think that Craig may live up to be my one of my favorite Bonds. (2 favs being Connery and Brosnan)

If you loved the classic Bond's where Bond fights a sinister mad genius, get's an awesome car and sweet gadgets, kills thousands of evil henchmen, and always get's with one chick who turns out to be with the Villain but in the end get's an even hotter chick, and don't wanna see anything other than that, then Casino Royale and Quantom of Solace are not for you because the classic Bond formula is completely changed now.

If by that you mean quality chase scenes, then, yes I'd have to agree.
