I've been working my way through a new file of OoT lately. Last time I played (which would have been...Wednesday or Thursday of last week), I was up to Lord Jabu-Jabu's Belly. Ah, nostalgia...

Wait... you're asking fora Zelda remake? By god, this is the one series that's been remade consistently since day1. There are all too many reincarnations of Link to the Past. Majora's mask has that one bundled with the Master Quest, then there's there one bundled with the 4 games on it. And virtual console.
Wow I cant believe its been 10 years
There's a difference between a remake and a port.
Link to the Past (SNES) > Link to the Past (GBA) = Port
Metroid (NES) > Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA) = Remake
While I would probably like an OoT remake, I almost feel like it would be silly to do it. The game is good as it is, and more recent Zelda titles (Twilight Princess in particular) have been far too similar to OoT to make the game seem as fresh as a remake would hopefully do.
If the remake was a minor project, such as a DS version (akin to Super Mario 64 DS) or some kind of WiiWare project, it could be pretty neat. As for a disc-based Wii remake - I'd rather see them do something new.
That being said - Ocarina of Time is my favorite game of all time and even all these years later I am still quite impressed with it.

Ghetto lady thinks your froggy's name is Lou McGopher
Well, I'm gonna admit that I forgot. >_>
Either way, the fact that it's been around at least half my life is a little frightening.

This topic makes me want to play it so bad...its story was so simple, and in many ways cliched, but still so awesome.
