Sega to make satire of Mario game

Honestly, this is one of the few times I hear of satire coming from a videogame, and honestly Sega is the last place I'd expect it. But then again it makes sense, Sega being a long time rival of Nintendo's 8-bit powers.

Oh, it's a good thing that it actually costs $5 then, isn't it?

I, uh... I think it looks kind of interesting. The gameplay itself looks like one of those terrible NES platformers I would rent from Blockbuster and then never play again, but the music is just the right kind of chiptunes that get me nostalgic.

Yeah, I think $5 is a fair price for it. I'm just curious as to the different gags they put in there.

Not a fan but I don't think Sega can f' up an 8 bit game. Looking forward to this.

Sega should be the perfect developer for a satire game. I think they have a decent grip on humor. After all, the company has been one big running joke for the past seven years, of which the fans are usually the unwitting butt of.

The question then is, are they bad enough dudes to mess up their parody? I mean, if they do, they'll have accomplished the ultimate feat in trolling their customers.
