This is mostly due to a limitation in the vBulletin software. A user profile field can only be called one name and the default for that field is "Biography."

I thought an autobiography was what you wrote about yourself, and a biography was something someone wrote about you.

I thought if I read a book by someone about themselves it was sti---wait, I'm not sure anymore.
