Game doesnt work with OpenDNS?

I switched to OpenDNS on my router, i can connect to xbox live just fine, but the game times out (server issues interupt request, which is a lie) when trying to connect to the server. i looked at the official tech support saying i should change the ip address of the dns inside the xbox settings to 4.2.2.2 but this makes it worse to where the xbox cannot connect to live. does anyone have any better luck using OpenDNS, or should i just stick with the crappy dns that my ISP uses?

do you have firewalls and/or ports closed on your router? You may have to forward ports.

I had the same issue with OpenDNS as well.

Make sure that UPnP is turned ON as the 360 opens ports automatically and it pulls random ports (I have dd-wrt installed on my router and I can watch it pull different ports by just turning it off and back on.

OBTW I have been using OpenDNS for as long as PSU has been out and never had a connection problem.
