July 24th's scheduled update will feature the next part of the Protectors Summer Event (Protectors: Delta)

That's very promising! I hope it means that we are getting Alpha+ and Beta+ for the next update.

Will Gamma remain while Delta is available? If so, awesome.

I don't mind the event's length since I missed the first week.

I think there's a good chance we'll still see Gamma. Information will be added for Delta in the prologue mission, but I somehow doubt they'll just remove the Gamma info (along with the mission). I'll be keeping an eye out for any runtimes posted on the JP 360 page or any announcements from Edward.

With Edict being extended (from its original JP 360 runtime mention) to account for Delta, it's likely that Gamma will be too for the full duration. It'll probably end up like JP's run, just with another week with just Gamma. Note that they didn't say they would be taking down Gamma in the announcement for Delta.

It'll be good to have a new mission to run. The people I normally play with are definitely getting tired of Gamma.
