Default Has an official US/Europe release date been announced for PSP2?

I've looked around these forums, Wikipedia, the official Japanese site, Kotaku, and other places, and so far, the only date I've found so far is the Japanese release on December 3, 2009, so I'm guessing there hasn't been any word yet, seeing how someone else usually posts it before I ever hear about it... but then again, I may have missed it. I'm asking because:

1 - I don't own a PSP yet, and would like to know how much of a window of time I have to get one before everyone else gets involved with the game

2 - Although some of my friends probably know how, since they have one, I am not very knowledgeable about the whole PSP hacking and firmware process, as well as getting it getting it online with the PSN under a different region, which imo seems like WAY too much trouble just for a demo, although I'm sure I could find other games to toy around with...

3 - Tetsaru wants to know if this game and PSZ live up to their hype, and wants to see if Sega can be trusted again, seeing how Sonic Team appears to be out of the loop

4 - I've been banned indefinitely from the PSU forums (lol), so I need a new spot to hang around in =P

5 - I'm sure everyone else around here wants to know too. :3

Hahahaha how did you get banned?

    I don't know anything about a release date. :/
And, I wouldn't hack your PSP if you plan on playing the Jp or US PS:P2 game.

In short, for being myself and getting too intense with my arguments, as usual. >_>; Buuuut, it's probably better for me to forget about PSU anyway. Bad game is still bad, nuff said.

Ehh, I figured as much, lol.

Lol, why not? I'm guessing because of PSN complications if you tried going online?

I'd love to get a US/EU release date. But I'm guessing since it almost took PSZ a year to come to the West I'm thinking sometime around November 2010.

That, and as of now, it looks like it might be a while before we see a hacked version of PS:P2 working on CFW.
    AS of now.
I've tried almost everything trying to decrypt the demo, but it just wont work, and I assume it will be like that for the full game too.
On top of that, you wouldn't be able to play infrastructure mode anyway. Just ad-hoc.

I suppose they haven't announced it yet because they want to promote PSØ, which is nice, and PSP2 will provably be released here some months from now. As a reference date, Valkyria Chronicles 2 is released in Japan next January, it will be released on the West next summer, maybe we will see PSP2 around that date too...

Sooner, if we're lucky. PSP2 comes out a month before VC2 and I'm pretty sure that most of the game data is compiled for PSP2 so if Sega wanted PSP2 out in a decent amount of time, they'd have their translators translating and their network engineers putting together a ranch of servers to host the infrastructure mode. Provided that they leave that in

My personal guess would be sometime next summer, but if they somehow decide to take as long as they did for PSZ, it might end up as far as November next year.

I personally downloaded the demo with my PS3 using the same Japanese I account I made to download AdHoc Party, then transfered to my (non-hacked) PSP. But I think there was a direct download to the demo on Sega's site that you could download with your PC and copy to your PSP's memory stick. You really just need to have firmware 6.00 to be able to play it (which isn't available as CFW right now).

3 - Tetsaru wants to know if this game and PSZ live up to their hype, and wants to see if Sega can be trusted again, seeing how Sonic Team appears to be out of the loop
Personally, I played the hell out of the demo in Party Mode with a friend this weekend (clocked in almost 20 hours in different characters), and I can say that it looks to be everything PSU should have been and more. They're basically taking the best out of PSU/AotI and classic PSO and mixing it into one awesome package. The camera and lock on controls do take some time getting used to, being on PSP, but it works out fairly well.

4 - I've been banned indefinitely from the PSU forums (lol), so I need a new spot to hang around in =P
My guess is that PSP2's awesomeness will make you run out of things to complain about and make you welcome on these forums again.

5 - I'm sure everyone else around here wants to know too. :3
I certainly would like to know, but unfortunately there's been no news from Sega about a North-American release so far. Don't worry though, I'm sure it'll end up on PSOW's news page as soon as the date is made public.
