Pretty happy now. I'm at lv 85 on my main, basically, finished the game once without a guide and managed to get a "good" ending. Purposely tried to be a dick to Emilia on my alt, and managed to get "Darkness Wing". This time around, re-did Story Mode on my main, and did the following:
-Played on Normal Mode for Story -> S ranked ALL Story Mode missions
-S ranked "Wayfarer in White" (Side Story/Mission)
-Picked all answers correctly from ch 1 - 10
So you don't have to do Hard Mode. I've read up some stuff from GameFAQs, and 'some' people said you had to do Hard Mode. Guess I proved for myself that you didn't need to finish Hard Mode (Story) to get the Crimson Wing. So I'm pretty proud of myself, actually. I only have about 70 hours on my main too, and I managed to get the Whitill (S-ranked) and Crimson Wing (S-ranked) on that one character.
Now I'm going to rest my eyes...
