The charge shots are basically bigger versions of the normal shot. Save for twin handguns and machine guns. Machine guns do a little 3 shot burst upwards and knocks the enemy into the air, while twins do a backflip and fire down.
Oh, I was under the impression guns had visual PA's now like melee weapons. Ah well, still cool that they have their own unique charge shot.
