White Shadow Drops

This has prolly been asked before but do the items listed in the drop charts as dropping from white shadowed monsters ONLY drop from white shadowed monsters or do they just have a greater chance of dropping from them?

The first option would suck considering I hardly find any and when I do those little bastards only drop meseta or green boxes

Haha, that would make a little sense, kind of explaining how come some drops just never seem to show up. We are told that the rates are "improved in boosted variant", leading us to believe that they should sometimes drop from the normal ones too.

Boosted monsters have a higher drop rate for certain items. (I think...)

Ah..so most likely white shadowed enemies just have a higher chance of dropping the item. Thats a relief thanks.

I got a ton of Crimson Visses from normal Vulkures.
They just increase the chance of dropping their rare item.
Not by a lot, though.

I know there are two threads on the first page that touch on this topic, but my question is different, and I didn't want to hijack the other threads.

In any case, can someone please show me what the White Shadow monsters look like? They're described as stronger variants of monsters, but how can you tell you've encountered one [other than them being harder to kill]?

Instead of a normal black shadow below the monsters, they have a slightly bigger, white shadow. You should see it immediately, you can't really miss it.

Ohhh. It means their actual shadows. I thought it was a euphemism or something, or a reference to their dot color on the combat map.
