Ok everyone, I've seen the countless threads and comments that read something like this, " I can't find X(Milias Breaker, Psycho Wand, etc.)!!!!!! Why are the drops rates so high!?" Well, I've become quite sick of all the complaining and thought I'd give you a few tips on how to maximize the effectiveness of your runs!
Tip #1: Play on "Access Field"!
Playing on access field will give you a 1.25X drop modifier over doing quests!

Tip #2: Play on Wi-Fi!
Playing on Wi-Fi gives you a 1.5X drop modifier! So, if you play "Access Field" on WiFi you get a 1.75X drop modifier!

Tip #3: Play with a full party!
Each player gets their own drops! This is essientially like multiplying your chances by 2, 3, or 4! This is the best way to increase your drop rates(as long as your playing together and not keeping your findings all to yourself!)! Note, NPC's don't increase your drop rate!
CITATION: Not necessary, this is common sense.
Tip #4: Patience! Patience! Patience!
The rare 7* weapons have VERY high drop rates and you most likely WILL spend a long time searching for them. Be patient and keep on grinding, hopefully you will one day be rewarded!
CITATION: Again, common sense.
Easy right? I know! Follow these 4 simple tips and you'll have majorly increased your odds of finding that rare item you've been looking for!
One more thing! Remember a drop rate of 1/100 does not mean you will be guaranteed that item if you kill 100 of that monster! Think of it this way. You have a 100 sided die(that's epic I know). To get the drop you need to roll a "1". So you roll the die and get, let's say, a "47". Bad luck, you'll have to keep rolling. You could roll a million times and never get a "1", or you could roll 10, "1's" in a row! Of course since there are a 100 sides to the die your chances or rolling a "1" 10 times are very low!
I hope this is useful to some of you! It's just some basic probability and statistics but it seem like a lot of newer players can't quite understand some of it!
NOTE: You'll need to translate the japenese wiki(unless you can read Japanese of course) to see the reference to the drop rates. Hope that appeases the skeptics.
