There's some rumors going around atm that the US PS3 version will have fixes implemented for the JP problems, but that's all they really are at this point. Anyone that picks up the PS3 version tuesday feel free to post about your findings.
Well, according to IGN's Podcast Beyond, the game received such criticism for Sega doing such a shoddy port, Sony themselves actually got involved and are trying to get a patch going. I know the game's already out, so this may be old news. Sorry if it is, I don't have the game.

Finished getting all the acheivements yesterday and had a blast doing it. Now I have to finish the lost chapter and earn enough lifetime halos to fight the secret boss (if you dont know who it is I wont say) and get the rest of them birds lol. The weapon combinations are all fun and there are no useless weapons in this game wich is a plus. Also the item that that swaps witch time for an explosion is geat for infinate climax mode.

I have a few achievements left, namely the oddball ones...(tentacle destroying in ch. IX, afterburner platinums for first 2 verses), but I did manage to get all the alfheims yesterday. The point about no useless weapons is really true, they all can be used situationally or to a personal liking.

Are there any strat sites for beating the lost chapter, or for getting the rest of the birds? Also how many lifetime halos do you need before the ticket shows up? I haven't seen it in the store yet.

theres a strategy on gamefaqs but basically you need Pillow talk and the taunt heal and the explosive dodge for the last 2 rounds (no witch time) leave one enemy alive and taunt heal at it.
for the secret boss you need 10 million lifetime halos and the ticket is supposed to pop up in the shop for 500,000
theres a tears of blood faq available on gamefaqs so Ill probaly use that for the birds. also the afterburner achievement can be gotten on easy or very easy

Haven't played the game yet (outside of the demo) and I'm not sure if it'll be anywhere near my "must-play" list (not a big DMC/God of War/Ninja Gaiden player), but man oh man has Bayonetta been spawning some excellent commentary regarding its protagonist and the concept of sexuality in games:

First Leigh Alexander chimed in on how she finds Bayonetta to be a positive female character: http://www.gamepro.com/article/featu...-exploitative/

And then Tiffany Chow (who I'm afraid I'm not familiar with) offers a counter-argument that the game is far too campy to be considered in a serious light: http://tiffchow.typepad.com/tiff/201...lebration.html

Not to derail everyone chatting about this or that boss fight - that's all well and good! - but I definitely think it's worth mentioning some serious commentary regarding the game.

Well I think the first article written by Leigh kinda solidifies my view of this game. The art style they used in this game is tremendously stylized which makes all the over the top sexual refernces, at first shocking (I said "wow" many times) eventually becomes endearing to the character and the games universe. I really wish I could place the art style, I know I've seen it before.

As overly suggestive as this game can get I NEVER really felt the slut vibe comming off of Bayonetta. She's definately a tease but and Ill quote the game, "she never goes in for strange offers".

The other article's author doesn't seem too objective to me. It just seems to be written by the kind of woman who goes to the beach and wears a trench coat. She seems like she has a chip on her shoulder as if no one has the right to enjoy looking at a pretty girl being pretty and strutting her stuff.

Heck when I'm in good shape (not as much in the winter) I like showing my physique, I like being looked at. To each their own however and as long as it doesn't keep cool edgy games like this one off the shelves they can say what they want.

I had a pretty in-depth conversation with a friend about this, and I think the two articles explain fairly well our two points of view on the game and why they differed.

If you just view a few trailers, look at some artwork for the game or browse a few pictures, he was like...it looks cool but they shouldn't have gone the T&A route just to sell a few more copies, it makes it look tacky.

From the outside, yeah it looks fucking tacky. It's got a witch that uses her hair as her outfit so she basically is running around naked 24/7, then she actually has to get naked to summon some demons, plus its got levels with fucking tentacles. Sigh.

Like I said though, that's all from the outside. Once you sit down with Bayo you realize that all this T&A actually has to do with part of her character, personality, and how fucking cool she is. It all contributes to her arrogance, power, and determination, and you quickly forget about the T&A (to some degree ) and realize that it had to be there to make her just the fucking badass character that she is.

So yeah imo, those articles are really written by two different people. One of them played the game, one is commenting on some youtube clips.

I didn't get any slut vibes from Bayonetta at all. Bayonetta is one of them ladies that is very comfortable with her body and doesn't mind gettin a little flirty. I can see where people get the idea that she is a bit of a horn dog though. As for the innuendo, hey, its there for the lulz. Many of the girls that I know love Bayonetta. They believe she is very empowering.
