I consider the Spread Needle to be over-powered on Version 1, especially in the hands of a HUcast or HUmar. An unskilled player could use one to quickly finish off a room, especially if it was of the 60% Oberon variety.
Yea the Spread Needle was WAY overpowered in version 1, that and Heaven's Punisher were quick kill stealing weapons. Moreso Spread than Heaven's since almost anyone could use one.
And then in V2 the hacked Needles (A/AA/AA Needle+255) and such were worse. Of course by V2 in the end almost everything was hacked to the point you can do 2000+ damage with just a "love tap"

Remember when you would be running through an area and someone would zap the crap out of you with Zonde to either raise your PB or just plain grief you?
How about getting NOL'd. That was one of the worst things that happened to me.
