How do you tell if an Item is Duped?

By finding it yourself. Beyond that there is no way to tell for sure. But seriously if someone is trading or giving away one of the rarest items in the game, do you honestly believe they found it or the parts necessary to create it?

Or you could give a shit, and just trade like a normal person.

    Take/Trade, whatever.

For some of the common dupes you could check the percentages and compare to the percentages on the popular dupe (if you don't know the "dupe percentages" ask around, many people do). Of course you could always use common sense, and not trust people.

Dupe percentages would be 50% on all or more. Sometimes maxed out on either Dark, or Machine.

No, not always. Lavis Cannon is typically 20% native.

if you look at a weapon's stats, they show certain percentages stronger toward a certain type of enemy.

If a rare weapon is, say 20% stonger toward MACHINE, and some jackass DUPES it, its duplication will be an exact copy of the weapon; the duped item will show 20% MACHINE, hence the term "DUPED."

Someone correct me if i'm wrong. but the rarest of items found that are heavily duped will always have the same attributes unless someone has used a grinder of some sort on it... then it would show a "+#" on it.

    Wakaru? Hope so.

my brother recently lost to fsod a lavis cannon, 2 god/power, and god/battle that someone GAVE him a couple of months ago... he swears on his life that they weren't dupes, but if someone gives you that kind of stuff, they are obviously duped. Oh yeah, i was loaning him a god/body and a rappy's fan, which he promptly lost too... we were both upset...
