Default What will you start with for PS:P2?

Thinking about starting with a CAST Hunter. I'm a PSO guy and I love my HUcaseal, really regret rolling a Human in PSP1, feel like ive gone to far to real roll until i finish

the good thing about psp is you can change class & have 4 chars. so the real question is what sex are you going to make each race. if you choose to make one of each race that is

its actually 8 slots now...so you can have all races of opposite genders.

Huh, I heard somewhere you could have 16. As awesome as that would be, it would kinda be overkill.

On topic: Male Newman Vanguard. I though HUnewms looked the coolest in PSZ, so that was my choce. However, I expected them to be a bit more well rounded. Thus, I'm gonna try that again this game. Hopefully it'll work as I expect this time...

I also hope this isn't another round of PSZ, with the game becoming so definite in how it should be played, and with me ending up with a character that's considerd to, in the end, suck since I didn't chooes a HUcast or FOnewm as my main. (Ironically, I have a HUcast and FOnewearl, but their not up to my HUnewm). At least if this is the case, I could always switch classes... But I wouldn't.

Braver/Vanguard makes the game super easy, especially after the EX traps show up in the shops. I personally would suggest trying it last as not to spoil yourself. Or at least until you get the right abilities and progress the story far enough that you can buy EX traps.

    It's 8, not 16.

VAnewm is a horrible class if you're not using Magic/Guns. They die a lot faster, and in PSP2 you die pretty fast as it is. The main Pro of VAnewms is that they can level 10 resta (fastest) all of their health back at level 200. Problem is, VAmars can do this as well.

Even then, I think VAnewm is the worst class-race in the game, so good luck playing on Hard mode =).

My PSP2 Class/Type tier list for solo

    Vanguards:

    VAmar
    VAcaseal
    VAmarl
    VAcast
    Vanguard Beasts
    Vanguard Newmans

    Rangers:

    RAcaseal
    RAcast
    RAmarl
    RAmar
    Ranger Newmans
    Ranger Beasts

Hunters: (I'm guessing for this one)

    HUmar
    HUcast
    HUcaseal
    HUmarl
    Hunter Beasts
    Hunter Newmans

    Force:

    FOmarl
    FObeast(female)
    FOmar
    FObeast(male)
FOnewmearl (there are weapons (non magic) that require MST which put this race above the casts as a force)
    FOcaseal
    FOcast
FOnewm (the reason for this is that magic isn't good in PSP2 for soloing)

For multiplayer, VAcaseal is the best, but for solo, VAmar is the best. This is mostly to do with caseals getting much better PP recovery for use with range weapons, but mars can cure near 100% with level 10 resta.

I advise everyone who wants to do well quickly to start as a Ranger no matter race or sex to get Full Charge, then switch to Vanguard. Once the level 50 C-Rank weapons hit the shops, the game gets VERY easy until about level 120, which you'll be needing to rely on EX-Traps and S-Ranks. DO HARD-MODE! this is the best way to get EXP + Type Points after NORMAL-MODE.

So basically, I'm screwed? Well, it's not the first game. Oh well, I don't really care. If you don't think I'm pulling my weight, you don't have to run with me.

Izuna, how come you list some females or males, and vice versa.....I never knew sex changed stats?

It changes stats slightly, the important thing is the PP recovery.

    I use the 4 other slots as 'storage' characters, 1000 spaces in the common box isn't enough ;;
Especially when you're keeping track of the purchased costumes/parts for the achievement.

If you find good running mates then it won't matter... it's all for fun.
Then again, I'm one that plays with whatever I like, personal preferences matter most.

Getting screwed is another story :p
