Braver is now Vanguard?

Apparently, with Gamespot's hands-on review of the game, there was one tidbit of info that caught my attention:

"There is also a new character class called "vanguard," which will be a hybrid of the attack classes and defense classes."

So I guess they couldn't leave that name alone lol. Thoughts on this anyone?

I like braver, but I like vanguard better. Probably has something to do with that being the name of Ike's 3rd teir class in Fire Emblem: Radient Dawn.

Ugh, if they change Braver into Vanguard, I'll start as Hunter and not as Braver what I actually wanted to do.

So if Braver is BR, what would Vanguard be? VA or VD? My vote is for the latter. Shame Shred the Darkness isn't in PSP2 or else I could say "Who wants to do StD with a VD?"

Vanguard?! Awesome. Phantasy Star goes Mass Effect (in name). (The main class I actually played in that series). Maybe it's also a coincidence that the Mass Effect Vanguard was also a hybrid class.

Of course, the other part of me wishes that means they'll add a special ability to get a few seconds of invulnerability while the invincibility music from SNK's old shooter "Vanguard" plays.

Even if its your opinion, its a silly one. Really, missing out on a class simply because of a name change. Whatever floats your boat.

I'll still be using Bra-uhh... Vanguard when it hits shores in the US.
