Thread: HUCaseal Setup

    Default HUCaseal Setup

I'm wanting to start up a HUcaseal character, since I keep seeing HUmars and HUcasts all over the place. Would anyone know of an optimal build for using a HUcaseal, like preferred mats and mag stats? Thanks for your time.

Pure ATP mats and mag should work, and use units for temporarily needed stats(hit, etc)

No, I advise AGAINST using Units for anything but Mind or Power, as far as stats go. Use your Mats for all Power, your units for all Power, and your mag, splice in Power with any Hit you think you'll need. Your units are better utilized for Power than Hit because the Hit units are only 3/5ths as effective for their stats, and Mats are affected by Shifta/Deband, so it's a waste to use anything BUT Power/Mind mats, essentially.

I see your point but respectfully disagree.
Eventually you won't need extra points in hit and units are much easier to change than mag stats.
Your way is probably more effective but unnecessarily complex, IMO.
The amount of 'MISSes' you'll be avoiding with that route is negligible when compared to how much easier it is to swap in Hit units when you need them, and the power increase would only end up being, at MOST, 10-20 more points of damage.
HUcaseal also has the highest ATA of the hunter classes so accuracy isn't really a huge problem that would warrant building an extra mag for very specific situations.

That's why you customize your mag to your level 100 stats, ya idgit, not your current ones... unless you make two mags; one for your current and one for when you're level 100. <_<

That's exactly what I just said. Pure POW mag because having an extra mag with ATA is pointless.
Also what the fuck, namecalling? Is that really necessary?

I call everyone idgits. No one man is less deserving of it being called to them then another. It's not like you're more special than someone like chukie or (IIRC) HUcast when I called them it in the past. Besides, even a level 100 HUcaseal won't hit all the time. Any extra Hit you NEED can be substituted in, I never said you HAD to put any Hit on your mag.

You did say that, actually. And in order to 'substitute' ATA points on a mag you'd need to build and carry two, which would take a lot more effort to get the same results when you can just swap in a hit unit temporarily.

    Oi... read CLOSER.

Do you see the bolded/underlined text? I said any Hit YOU THINK YOU'LL NEED, as in only if you think you need any Hit. Otherwise, you'd only need one Max Power Mag, as I said splice Power with any Hit you think you'll need, and if you need no Hit, then it'll be full Power. <_<

But yes, while the units are more easily swapped than the points applied to a mag, the units are highly inefficient as far as spreading their points go.

You don't need extra ATA at lv 100, so you shouldn't put any into your mag. I rest my case.
