So that was you that followed me the other day.

Once again, the official blog updates. I'm tired and there's not a whole lot besides neat pictures so I'll make this quick.




Male cast. The theme is a knight.




Female cast. The theme is an angel as opposed to PSP2's gothic look. [Insert boob joke here]




Male beast. The theme this time is bones.




Lastly, we have the female beast. Her theme is fur.

It is written on the blog that the cast redesign is to make them look cooler and more hero-like. The beast redesign is to make the beasts look more wild. The male, I kind of see it. The female, I don't. And that's it.

I like the Beast girls hairstyle, although they don't look wild more so high class escort-ish.

I'm hoping the Male Beasts get better face options this time though, they had that raisin in a sun look for the majority of the faces, and only three normal faces...that happened to look shota.

The male CAST looks like the Lancelot from Code Geass. Also, Odin + Brynhildr from FFXIII. And those annoying knight enemies from DMC4.

Female Beast looks like a high-class prostitute -_-;. Japanese definition of wild = sexually wild??

As mentioned before, female CAST = Vivienne + Ilias + Default PSPo2 Parts.

The male CAST looks like the Lancelot from Code Geass.

Damn beasts look cool! Their new look seems to be based very much on the Central and South Americas.

Especially the female design seems to be like a sci-fi 'sexy' Aztec look. The pattern on her hood is a typical central american pattern, and wearing the pattern of a Jaguar in Aztec culture was reserved only for their most powerful knights and warriors. Also, circular turquoise stones are a staple of Aztec jewelry.

The Male Beast seems to be based on the colorful bone and bead art of the Huichol people, but could also just be a sci-fi stylizing of the typical 'central american indian' look. The bones also remind me of the Aztec 'Tzitzimitl' Knights, known as 'Skeleton Knights', which were a legendary group of elite knights.

Either way, as a big fan of Central and South American Pre-Columbian cultures, I'm glad to see Moatoob evolve from 'random desert people' to having a real-world basis like Neudaiz has with East Asia.

Also, I don't understand why everyone is complaining about the default Newman male. It's not like this game doesn't have a very extensive customization system. I really just think they were going back to their roots with an effeminate 'Lutz' look.

I'm loving the designs for everyone... Except the Newman male. He looks too much like a woman compared to his shounen-esque badassery of a previous design.

The male CAST reminds me of the White Knight from White Knight Chronicles, I like it. The female CAST looks pretty much like a palette-swapped version of the PSPo2 one, from what I remember, but it's still cool. Nothing wrong with showing off some cleavage, imo.

The Beasts look rather unique, although the male looks like a short Ganondorf (something about the huge boots makes him look short to me), and the female DOES look a bit hooker-ish, though I like the headband/earrings they gave her.

Both of the Newmans' clothes look awesome, especially the female's, but I have to agree - the "male" Newman looks too effeminate... it's almost like Karen suddenly wanted to become a lesbian and started dressing up to look more androgynous/boyish, but decided to go for a slightly more shota look instead...?

Male Human looks essentially the same from PSPo2 as well, while the female just looks omgwtfbbq magical loli-riffic girl. =x

I would think they didn't give the female beast much clothing because the stereotypical wild person wouldn't have a reason to wear clothing unless for climate reasons.

On that note the female beast looks pretty good filling that gap apart from the 21 century high fashion model short shorts. Make them more ragged or something and the female template would be solid.
