Default How to remap my controller for jp psu?

Just made a jp account and I need to know how to remap my controller. Do I do it in-game or is it in the menu on my desktop?

Also im not much of a forum user and the search button seems to give me results that are not relevant to my questions. Is there a thread for people who use to play U.S. server who have switched to jp? I have a few questions I would like answered.

There are a few programs you can look for; one is JoyToKey there was a post some were around psow for it and the other one is call xpadder. There are others around the web but I have try this 2 and they do work for 360 and ps3 controllers.

H, Human Male (Lv 160 US / Lv 180 JP)
    A, Cast Male (Lv 170 US / Lv 180 JP) (H 50, R 60, Fo 60, Fi 50, G 55, T 25)
    N, Beast Female (Lv 160 US/ Lv 180 JP)
    M, Newman Female (Lv 161 US / Lv 180 JP) (H 1, R 1, Fo 40, Fi 0, G 0, T 32)

I could have sworn there was a EU/US player --> JP server guide/sticky, but I can't find it.

To answer your question about button mapping. You'll have to configure it in the PSU option menu just before you star the game. I think it's the 3rd to last option from the start-up menu. Everything is in Japanese, so you'll may need some trial and error or a friendly person to provide translations. When I get home, I'll see about providing more details/screenshots.

There used to be "meet and greet" gatherings for EU/US players to meet each other on the JP server, but I haven't seen a new one since June.

I'm doing this off memory, so if anything feels unusual I may have gotten it wrong, and you can change it as you please.

To set the game pad config, simple double click on the button number and then a small window will pop up. Press on your controller what button coresponds to the action you double clicked.

    On a PS2 style controller:
    Enter, talk....X
    Cancel.........O
    Normal attack..Square
    Striking.......Triangle
    Lock-on........L1
    Switch weapon..R1
    PAge left......L2
    Page right.....R2
First Person...L3 or R3 (press down either analogue stick)
    Main menu......start
    Change char....Select
    leave the rest black

On an Xbox 360 wired style controller (after installing XBCD, you can use the controllers triggers as buttons)
    Enter, talk....A
    Cancel.........B
    Normal attack..X
    Striking.......Y
    Lock-on........Left button
    Switch weapon..Right button
    PAge left......Left trigger
    Page right.....right trigger
First Person...L3 or R3 (press down either analogue stick)
    Main menu......start
    Change char....Back
Camera left/right.....Uses right analog stick. For xbox, these are diff. I don't remember the exact combo. Use trial and error to figure it out.
    Camera up/down........

As for the translation menu, I took a snapshot of my English install button config menu. It should be exactly the same layout for Japanese. Your button numbers will show up diferently depending on the game pad you use.
