Well. That's true for certain other games. I was talking specifically about PSO2, though. And the GT640 most people talk about is the GDDR3 version, not the GDDR5 version. That makes a difference. But alas, if trying to stick over 4000 at 1080p, then yes, you'll want the along the lines of the Geforce GTX 560 or 660 series. The i5 definitely covers all of today's gaming, so far. Though I have to admit, the top of the i3 line still holds up as well.

Hey guys, I'm looking at buying this laptop http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834215660 within the next couple of weeks, how well do you think it will it run PSO2 at max? Also am I getting my money's worth laptop wise? Thanks in advance.
I have no doubt that it would run max settings. It would appear to be better than my GPU (Radeon 6470M) and I run at max settings with most additional options on (with occasional slowdown depending on certain factors).
As for whether it's worth it...well, comparing the cost of my laptop and that one...I'd say yeah.

CPU need to be 4 core, all the other stuff is not a matter.
GT640 is to weak to make any good use of GDDR5 so its not a matter. Its a marketing gag. As far as i know the GT645 (seems to be OEM only) got GDDR5 but GT640 is still running on GDDR3 (even the newest specs). Ultimately when a GPU cant pass around 50 GTEX (such as 650 TI and up) fast RAM isnt much more than a marketing gag.I do indeed recommend Win 7, its currently the most adorable game OS for desktop PCs. Although, Win 8 may grant 1-2% more FPS because of memory management improvements. However, memory speed means nothing nowadays, almost any performance will come from the processors (GPU/CPU) and solid state drive (IOPS performance).
I do hope Win 9 will be a better OS for desktop PCs and not some sort of mobile OS for tablet users (and other comparable portable stuff).
