Yup, everyone has their own items from any box. In addition each player actually generates their own monsters that share life totals and status effects. But they might not move the same way or attack on your screen if you see a party member take damage. So if it looks like your party member is attacking from across the field with daggers or something it's because the monster they're attacking is actually right in front of them in their screen. ^.^

Always hilarious to see someone using Kick Rush and hit enemies in your face while they're across the room... *points at self* :P

(For anyone wondering, Kick Rush is the name of the PA you use when you're unarmed.)
