will someone please explain to me what is maximum atack in psp2?

Maximum Attack is an online event that's been held in most Phantasy Star games since PSO. The only game it didn't happen in was Zero and maybe Episode 3. I don't really know about Ep. 3 though. Maximum Attack events are usually kill based and rewards are unlocked after a certain number of total kills are completed.

In PSP2, the first Maximum Attack was only PSP2 and it featured a boss that could only be found in the event mission. The official name of this was Maximum Attack: Little Wing (MALW). This event mission is included in the English PSP2 data as "The Kasch Test" (or something similar).

The second Maximum Attack featured a tie-in with PSU. Both PSP2 players and PSU players had their kill counts added together and it was this total number that determined the rewards. It also featured some of the better end game weapons as result screen rewards. The official name for this event was Maximum Attack Cross (MAX). The event missions for this event aren't included in the data for the English version of PSP2 but you can use the Japanese download data with the English version to try the missions out.

The third Maximum Attack is currently Infinity only. You can check out the current topic for it if you'd like more information.

I should add that the MAs are online events that only took/are taking place in the Japanese versions of the games. Some of the missions may be available in English but the events were never held outside of Japan.
