    Not really.

Trust me, you can do this the right way. I wouldn't have had posted a minimum build for $570 if I thought that you could go with less safely.

Building a PC can be engaging and fun. I will reply to this forum as much as possible to help you along the way. That kit requires the same amount of building that any PC would.

Well an I7 would be faster.... but more pricy.

    >_> But that's.... OVER 1,000!!!! *Crushes scouter*
Anyway I am watching this video closely and he baffled me on the motherboard part, for gaming use and other typic PC use such as media, and web surfing maybe run two programs at once like SL and Photoshop elements, what exactly should I look for in a motherboard, I know I need one with a LGA 1155 socket for the Intel core i5 2500, and I'm gonna need one with the PCI express 16X, Any clues on what else I will need for a motherboard?

If you want a really simple build you can get the AMD A8.
    Mother Board $80
    AMD A8-3850 APU $140

The A8 has graphics on the CPU and meets the PSO2 alpha's minimum requirement. As long as you don't need Crisis on highest settings, this is a simple way to get decent performance. Plus the you get a mobo/cpu/graphics for what an i5 normally costs.

You can wait a little while and the A8-3800 (65w) will come out along with mini-itx boards for it. Would make for an easy to build PSO2 console.

Never seen one in person but from what I am reading the graphics side of this chip is extremely lacking.... I wouldn't recommend it unless you find some review of this thing doing awesome, which I could not find.

Nothing else really matters that much to be honest....

To put it bluntly, the motherboard is pretty useless. There arn't "Fast" or "Slow" motherboards. Get one that has good reviews and that is priced nicely with the slots you need.

They will all have pretty much the same stuff on it. Now if you want USB 3.0 or SATA 6GB then you might look around. (Both features are going to be useless too you for gaming)

BTW here you go. $49.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138313

Get that, the CPU, your GPU, and other parts. Or better yet just buy the min-build I posted, its the same kinda route I think. If it isnt, just switch out the CPU and MOBO to get what you want and keep the other parts.

It's more that I don't think the Geforce 7800 GT is too demanding. Going by a quick and dirty benchmark look: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php

The Geforce gets a score of 525, and the Radeon 6550D squeezes in at 603. Like I said it's not going to blow you away, but for a first time build it might be a quick and easy way to get PSO2 on medium/low settings.

To save you.... another 30 seconds? A graphics card just slides in and plugs in. Your done. Windows gets drivers for you now.

It might be a cheaper option though but anyone who does this cannot blame me if it doesn't work right...
