Go with the US translation. Mainly for constancy purposes.

I'm fine with Japanese voices with English text. I'm used to visual novels and subtitled anime.

However, if you want an English voice cast, I know some people...

I know that you're not the first person who's asked something like that before, but the idea of replacing the Japanese Audio with English Pre-Recorded Audio would be too large of an endeavor to take on in itself at this point in time--if ever.

From a technological standpoint, the only thing the patch is doing is swapping out strings of Japanese text with re-written English text.

For inserting any kind of newly-recorded Audio into Infinity, it would certainly require the digital download version of the game itself to be basically "taken apart" with the vocal audio taken out and then reinserted into the game--creating an entirely new Disc Image of the game itself.

Either that, or it would take a huge, HUGE patch to do the job. I'm talking hundreds of Megabytes, instead of the English text patch being roughly an estimated 5 MB large when it's finished.

I think that's one thing that a lot of people overlook. When it comes to data in respects towards media, audio files are usually the largest pieces of data. Far more so than video, and much more so than text.

Bottom Line: The focus is on text translations right now.

The patch will be hella big anyway though... we gotta record, subtitle, and reencode the story movies afterall... that part will be the biggest part of the patch I think.

Dynasty Warriors 2nd Evolution Translation Patch (I destroyed it after the US version was announced)
Tales of Symphonia PS2 Translation Patch (I never released that one though... it never came out of the "Menu Translation Only" phase though... I used the english Gamecube version as main source for english data... the PS2 version was Japanese only...)

And most likely a few other patches that I simply forgot about.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you also have a helping hand in the God Eater Patch? If so, I'm assuming this patch will work the same as the God Eater Patch. And if it does, doesnt that make this poll kinda pointless because you could edit the text file yourself? lol
