I'm currently trying to figure out how to fix your "broken" L&R buttons without opening your DS or sending it to Nintendo for repairs. I also might be on to something I'll let you know as soon as I find out in about a week to a week and a half.

Put your lips around said button/s and blow a steady stream of air ar it... lemme know if it worked for you.
Yep. That's the funny thing about the DS. Most of the buttons have problems due to stuff getting behind them and getting in the way of the contacts. Blowing into them usually clears the small obstructions and they work as good as new. It's something that just has to be done to NDS every so often.
Hmmm didn't think of that. However if that doesn't work I'll still have to see if my theory works.
Blowing into your shoulders is a double edged sword. It's a solid way to get a quick fix but causes moisture build up that can cause non-correctable damage to your DS.
Well it only does half of the work in my case. I do believe I have found out a way to fix them.
The kiss of life is what mustache said, it'll help help at times but also ruin the ds.
That's why you should use an air can.
Let us know how that works out. Hehe...
