GAM/GAS ?

I recently returned to the game, and have just started running GAMs. My understanding from psupedia is that the game will keep track of the aexp I earn killing monsters and then level me up with AP rewards that I can spend on things like limit breaks. I get AMP for clearing the missions and can spend that on items at the trade counter.

If I have this right is there anyway for me to track my aexp earned and how much more I need to get some AP points? Obviously my characters are not max level so GAMs are my only means of earning aexp. Are there any missions I should focus on, or just do them in order? I really only have 1 dedicated person to run these with right now, until I rebuild my friendlist with current players. Playing on the 360 btw.
