Guys, go to your "Documents" folder on your PC, then go to Sega/PSO2 and delete the downloads folder. Then run the launcher again.

It's patching now thanks, I'll report back if it errors again :P

Ugh, still getting error 434 even though it patched again.

@Mike, can I use any keyboard short-cut at all if I set my game to run by gamepad? because any number or key I use = become chat instead.

I would like to be able to zoom in closer to my character tho. it is "-" for keyboard, but whenever I put it, it come as word "-" in chat box.

You can turn off direct chat with scroll lock or hold control + a number key to use the 1~0 keys.

So whats up with this error 434. I keep getting it at the patcher. Deleting the Download folder just makes it not happen instantly but as soon as the 2nd bar reaches the end bam. Error 434.

Yeah, getting the error again after deleting the folder in Documents.

Getting 434 too, even tried deleting the Downloads folder and running as an administrator just to be sure it wouldn't have any problem. Second bar of the patch gets almost full then the error hits, and after that trying to log in just results in the first bar sitting there for a while then error 434 again.

The same thing just happened to me. I guess the next step is to fiddle with my firewall, although I've never had a problem with it, ever.
