Gay marriage/civil unions (with a poll this time)

Although I totally be trollin' to bring up this topic, but in the U.S. at one time it was against the law to marry someone of another race.
And it was unlawful for a woman to vote, they simply could not.
And lastly, blacks were considered property and there was an actual institution, backed by governments, and citizens, called slavery.

Until all people are liberated, and seen equal in the eyes of the law, the U.S.A. will not be a true democracy.

Until that day comes, I will fight with every ounce of my strength. Every fiber of my being. Ever second of my time, to make equality for all people a priority in how I treat others. And I will fight for it at the courthouse, because unless it's The Law, people will ignore it.

People still ignore the law every day. Constant hate-crimes, torture, and abuse happen usually somewhere nearby, even, and its sickening.

While I support the topic, I know a lot of people don't. How would I get them to shut up and back off, since that would be the real way I can support LGBT couples. Petitions take too long, anyhow.

Live and let live, that's all I'm really going to say on this topic. I worry about my own life, not trying to dictate the lives of others.

I don't think you're going to find any conflicting opinions about what people should do with their lives on PSOW...

I'm not against gay marriage, and I'm nnot sure what to say abor-WAIT that says adoption.

But I still think marriage in general is evil. Like all jokes aside, I've rarely seen much happiness spawn from it. AN ANIMAL'S JOB IS TO HAVE SEX WITH EVERYTHING THAT MOVES AND LIVE AS LONG AS POSSIBLE TO MAKE MORE OF ITSELF. SO WE CAN GROW BIGGER STRONGER IN THE RACE OF WHICH SUBSTANCE WILL COMPLETELY DEVOUR THE UNIVERSE FIRST!!

Or with that way of thinking, A same sex marriage would be a happier one since they wouldn't make babies either way-WHAT THE HELL AM I TALKING ABOUT!! @____@

I think these two polls should combine. They seem alike

1-I fully support gay marriage, adoption, and all other rights for gays/lesbians.

7-I have nothing against gay marriage

The problem with marriage is it changes the dynamic of a relationship. You're adding tonnes of useless legal obligation to something that shouldn't be even a smidgeon legal, but if you WANT TO BE RECOGNIZED BY ANY LEGAL AUTHORITY FOR ANY REASON, LIKE GETTING A HOUSE, you better be with someone.

Marriage still appeals to me, personally, because I don't necessarily need to act legal about it. Dating can totally still be a possibility. If you're not going out, you can expect it to die.

Well, helps me out. Not that I have any thoughts of getting married soon. I don't view marriage as important, not what with what I've been through.
