Backwards text glitch

[Mega Ultra Chicken]

For some reason, whenever I try to type something, it does one of two things. If Num Lock is off, my text is typed backwards because my cursor is apparently being forced to the left. If Num Lock is on, it does something even weirder where it forces each change between a symbol, upper-case letters, or lower-case letters to the left. Does anyone know what is going on here, or will I never be able to chat properly again?

I've had this happen a lot, closing out of the game and restarting it again would normally work....on some occasions I'd have to restart my computer. No idea what causes it.
