I don't think I would have ever asked for ship-to-ship combat in an Assassins Creed game, but now that's all I can think of when I close my eyes. Somehow that is what convinced me that ACIII will be a "must buy" instead of a "let's pick it up when it's cheap on Steam" purchase.


Anyone else think that Watch Dogs looks absolutely brilliant up until it turned into a completely bland and boring "me too" third-person shooter?

I actually thought we would get a clever, smart game that didn't even need to fall back on shooter standards, but that was a silly thing for me to think.

I like shooters, but I would also like games that are unique enough to not have to rely on a bit of the old ultraviolence.

Wow, that Nintendo conference was bad.

I'm trying not to give into hyperbole here, but I think it may have been the worst E3 conference I've ever watched.

Pikmin 3 looks cool, though.

ZombiU could be fun, but not because of what they showed. For some reason they didn't highlight this, but apparently in the game if you die you jump into the body of a new survivor. I think that's neat! Not sure why they didn't mention it at the show.

I'm NintendoLand will be fine as a new version of WiiPlay, but it's not really a killer app.

Other than that... what? We have an uninspired Mario sequel and then all of last year's Xbox 360 and PS3 games.

That's... not the lineup you want to show off for E3.
