I liked the Afinson and Diopside. I was stuck with them for the longest time, and they grew on me. Dioskuroi was really cool, too, but i'm not a big fan of double sabers. I would use it occasionally, because I liked that folding action.
Two pages in and no Celesta Laser and Goof Swatter mentioned *leers at those who use those awful weapons*. For those who don't know, they have Chaos element, which inflicts random status elements including Shifta and Deband on enemies.
The Ainsraiffe sword would be my favorite non-super-rare rare. It's very destructive with Celeb 3 + Element Boost + Overend + high %'s in the proper area. I managed to get one from Mustache in a trade with high native %'s (enemies fell quick in the Valley) and I found one with high machine %'s (made for faster deaths of all machine foes who are all easily the most annoying enemy types in the game). I also have one with 15% dark and I recall seeing a difference when I ran through the Shrine after that blacksmith fortified it. If I still played PSZ, I would be still looking in the Valley for Ains Lv3 with Overend with high dark %'s and maybe one with high beast %'s just for completion sake (or a weapon to battle the Blaze Helions and Frunakeds with).
I also like the design of the sword and how it's not purple. Sorry, it's just that I noticed a lot of the high end rares are purple colored and when I started noticing that, it started to bug me. Though I probably would change my tune if I actually encountered a Milias Breaker with Celeb element and Overend and good %'s and acquired a 4-slot Milas Frame for the set bonus during my PSZ career. I know my opinion on the In swords changed for the more positive when I had the privilege to own both of them for a brief time before I passed them on.

That's nice, Chaos. I think anymore thread derailing will lead to mods doing some cleanup. Hopefully there are others who will want to share their favorite non-super-rare rare.
Favorite Non super rares for me would have to be the Twin GimletsThose had a pretty spiffy design on them.

I like how you can get in some extra hits with the Gimlet weapons because of the +1 target deal. It's too bad the best one (Bloody Gimlet) has Draw 3 for its element and I never gotten no more than one on my own the whole time I've owned the game (I did trade for another at some point so I've had two in my possession at different times in my PSZ career).Favorite Non super rares for me would have to be the Twin Gimlets
