Changing Blocks?

I'm on Ship 2 but I have no clue what block I'm on and I don't know where to change it.

Go into one of those orange elevators, and press "e" to change blocks

Elevators on either side of the quest counters, between the medical center and class counter, and off to the sides of the shopping area allow you to change the block you are in.
