The clothing equip slot is next to your unit equip slots in the armor equip menu. Just pick what outfit to wear and boom, there it is.
Very simple.
F6 with default controls.
Or you can press "Esc", second tab with the guy in armor, then the second option.
After you get to this menu you'll see four slots. Three next to each other and one all by its lonesome. The lonesome one is your outfit slot, the other three being your defense units.
