Ah seems I was mistaken.

Yeah rod is mid or long range, looks like you're stuck with only ilgrants and grants unless you switch the element.

Light is a rather poor choice for that rod, to be honest.

The rod only has mid and long range to choose from. It doesn't have either the zero range or close range variants.

I'd say hell no for fire because Safoie, Nafoie, and Gifoie.
Ice is a solid choice for it because only Rabarta and Nabarta(use Elysion or Boots of Serafi for this one anyway since uncharged only) won't be impacted 100% of the time.

I'm curious as to whether or not all these griffon 13* were obtained from the normal or rare version of the boss.

The only ones I really want personally are the jet boots and TMGs.

Mine came from the rare version.

Also received a 13* (twin mechgun, amusingly unexpectedly from the first run of the quest) from the rare version. So maybe.

Perhaps there'll be someone who found one from a normal gryphon to (fortunately) prove us wrong.
