On average, it's cheaper to do it all yourself during boost week with the exception of 11* weps. People grind those and put them up for ridiculously low prices, comparatively. High slot affixed units? Farm up!

I'm aware it's cheaper. I just find the grinding and affixing systems in this game to be aggravating and would rather not deal with it. I'm fine paying more - it's the convenience of not having to deal with those particular facets of the game. But that's a discussion for another thread.

I'm sure I've lost a non-trivial number of years due to Dudu stress (say that 5 times fast).

20-40 on that 11* is definitely my favorite example of RNG at its finest. Fail 170 grinds then +15 within 23 grinds.

How did you make those units with Ability III @ 100% .. Isn't it usually Souls @ 100% and Ability III @ 90%..

And it's not like it actually is more, I have so bad Dudu luck I needed 2.5 mil to +10 a Blue Katana and the same to get a Yuuei to +1.
450k to get a Roundeet to +3.
Considering how much I pay when I do stuff myself, shop prices are like 60% off special sale.

5 slot ability 3 is 3rich5me and I hate having any final affix below 100%. Power/tech/shoot fodders are also annoying to make. My boost week 5s is:

Target: Atk III/Spirita III/fever/x
Fodder 1: Soul/Atk III/Spirita III/x
Fodder 2: Soul Receptor/x/x/x

Really cheap to make when you use 2s and 3s fodders to make everything (except the soul receptor obviously). Rate is 70/70/70/70/70, turns into 100/100/100/100/100 with a 30%. You can do this outside of boost week too if you use 3x same unit every affix. Not a super flashy affix, but it gets the job done and is 5s nonetheless.

Edit: I'm thinking units only for some reason... not too expensive to get ability 3 on a weapon.

Finally got my hands on my first Saiki Leg Unit, so I can finally complete the set. That too forever.
