If telling people that Sega doesn't owe them shit for breaking rules and inviting themselves to the servers and such riles them up, that's their problem. A mature person would just see the facts for what they are and accept it.

And Sakai is trying to be gracious about all this, he's not saying "Yes". He's saying "Western players were not invited, and are now causing problems. Its a shame that there are some players that have put in alot of time that might lose that work, but we will IP lock the game if this continues"

They want to be nice to the playerbase which would be playing the western version coming soon, they're trying to be professional about this and promote good business. But they also have a priority of protecting the current existing servers from immature and malicious users, which unfortunately have been western majority wise.

People need to stop seeing what they want to see, and hearing what they want to hear. Sakai has basically said "We didn't want you on these servers per se, but since you are here now and have put alot of work in on your characters, you can stay as long as the problems with western players do not persist"

Segas giving the western playerbase far more chances than they deserve, they could of just IP locked the game right when they changed the TOS. People need to appreciate they are trying to be nice about this, but at the end of the day they aren't going to let some western brats ruin their game for everyone, and will lock out the problematic element if they are forced to.

The western playerbase is shit, and immature. They're the only ones causing problems, period. Ship 2 is shining proof of that. Other ships, nobodys spamming disgusting shit and vulgar symbol arts in lobbies, no one else is messing with the servers either with codes. Segas fully justified in blocking western players, its alot faster and alot cheaper to do that than to rewrite the games code to make everything server side.

If the japanese population begins messing with the game with codes, maybe then we'll see some action on that front. But for now, its easier and less time consuming to just get rid of the people causing the problems by locking them out.

People can whine about how unfair that is, but again, we weren't meant to be playing this version anyway. Thats like whining its unfair when you invite yourself into someones home and they kick you out. Pointless and immature, and fairly entitled as well.

Isn't it just as likely that you are seeing what you want to see and hearing what you want to hear yourself?

Its arguing semantics, because none of us live in japan, and Sega wanted YOUR actual name, actual address and actual phone number, because none of us were supposed to be buying the AC if we werent living in japan.

The people that faked this information or jumped through hoops to get around these provisions, then say "Sega let me buy AC" are retarded. No, Sega didn't let you buy AC, you snuck around the protections that would of blocked you from buying the AC. Sega didn't say "Please western player, write your western name in japanese, then forge an address and phone number. We said in our TOS that we did not want you to buy AC, buy you obviously care more about what YOU want, so please circumvent our rules in any way you see fit, to serve your own selfish desires"

    Lol seriously

No, because the TOS is the TOS, its all there in print. Kinda hard to misinterpret print that basically says "If you are not living in Japan, you are prohibited from playing and you are prohibited from buying AC."

Are people really this daft? You guys think Segas just putting on a little show and going *wink wink, the world revolves around you western players so do whatever you please anyway*? Yikes...

You realise that you managed to ignore/exclude foreigners living inside Japan from actually being able to play this game and buying AC with that?
