From what I am able to tell it looks like the run time is there in the OS just disabled, may be like it is in the normal x86/x64 builds where its disabled.

BTW, when everyone was running Vista I hated Vista and ran 2008 as a workstation, ran as good as 7 does. 7 was a good OS so instead of running Server 2008 R2 I just used 7.

All this to use the Steam overlay.

I can claim from personal experience that they did pull back the broken gameguard update.

I logged on with my client that hasn't been updated in about a week and my gameguard authentication prompt did not download a thing. Steam overlay still works, too.

I've heard comodo gives issues on certain things and some people went as far as uninstalling it, dunno if thats the issue though.

OK Steam is working on my laptop now, I was getting some problems with EVGA precision last night on my main box, will update if I have any problems.

Just wanted to let you know things have been working properly again since last night. Firefox doesn't freeze on flash pages any more when I open it while playing PSO2 and I'm not getting any other miscellaneous errors either.

I'm glad they were so quick to fix this update. I still can't believe I got a BSOD though. Geez.

The "fix" was to just undo everything they did. But yes, it is nice that they fixed things so fast. The x64 versions of Windows are much more common now, especially with systems with a lot of RAM.

So nPro 'reverted' itself, and everyone's ok to go back into the pool again?

I did an in place upgrade from Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit to Windows 8 Enterprise 64-bit on my work PC today, and Gameguard/PSO2 started up and ran perfectly fine. w00t.

After hearing that the gameguard update was rolled back, I tried running PSO2 again. Gameguard did an update, so that raised a red flag for me. About 15 minutes later my laptop bluescreened on me. Is there something I need to do to remove the update?
