That's what I was going for, too.
I prefer ambiguity over outright trap-ness (as in "is this guy male or female?" as opposed to "That's DEFINITELY a girl... with a penis!"), hence Teranu still has feminine features (big eyes, sharp chin, soft jawline) to balance out her masculine traits (strong brows, fairly prominent nose, subdued eyelashes, short hair, thin lips). I can understand why the more ridiculous traps were taken over the more androgynous choices.
