There's a problem with that analogy, the lighter works better than both of the other two in any situation I can think of...

Problem with specializing is some weapons really only have one or two good PAs that are only good at one thing and using them for anything else is pretty fruitless so unless you party with people who can cover the holes, you end up falling flat. Even then it's more efficient if people can do some of everything so that everything goes faster.

Anyway just play Te/Fi and get an all class TD and DS or switch between the two classes and do one CO at a time.

i was under the impression you had to use the weapon the whole fight like with the weapon training CO's

Only matters that you have the required weapon equipped at the exact moment it dies (for the "first" death for Rappies).

You can use anything at all for 99% of the fight, then switch right before the last 1HP is dealt. Just make sure your weapon actually switches properly, cause if you're stuck in limbo by the time you gain EXP from the kill, then you won't get credit towards the CO. You don't need to get the last hit in yourself, or even hit the enemy with your required weapon at all.

bumping this too ask a question.whats the best place to hunt rare rappies? the last time i saw some on my alt i forgot to equip a partisan. is there rules about wich mobs types rappies can replace?

AFAIK there's no one specific place with lots of them.

But an MPA would spawn Capture codes more often, along with just more of every mob, and hearsay suggests event EQs have more event Rappies.
