I thought the whole point was because they made several improvements to how the game runs and wanted to release a new benchmark that more accurately portrayed how well the game runs.
More like advertise the game.

Final benchmark results: (Note: I was using Preposterous Rhino's SweetFX setup, plus custom Anti Aliasing with Nvidia Inspector, namely MSAA + Supersamplng x4 and with Anisotropic Filtering at x16. Resolution of 1920 x 1200 and with Simple Rendering at setting 5.)
