Help setting up

This forum is too huge and I don't want to waste too much time searching, so here goes:

I just got a much better PC to play PSO2 on, so I can actually PLAY and not sit and look at it stagger forever. Anyway, I'm operating on Windows 7 Home something. I've tried looking online to see how I can get Japanese text support (My laptop already has it, being a Japanese model, so I had no problems loading it onto that piece of junk), but I can't figure it out. So that means I can't read the squares and figure out how to install/setup. Any help, please?

Ah, I don't use Windows 7, but traditionally you'd go into your control panel and select the icon for Regional and Language Options. When that pops us, click the "languages" tab and then select the box for "Install files for East Asian Languages". It may be a bit different in Windows 7, but try checking under your Control Panel/Languages icon.

Since they weren't previously installed, you may have to either download them from the internet or use your Windows install disk. Mine came right on the disk for XP, and they are probably included for Win 7's as well.

OK, they've nerfed Windows 7 so I can't do that... The options to install language packs is not on this version. I've tried searching and can't find anything. I can see JP characters fine on my browser, just not in the setup .exe

Any thread with visuals on what to click during the .exe setup?

Since u have Window 7 this will help you in the future for any Japanese games you come across:

Start and search for "Region and Language"

Add Japanese and IME[under Japanese(japan)]


Go to Administrative and "Change system locale"

Japan and "OK"

OK, now the sound won't work. Speakers are OK because I can hear YouTube videos. Anyone know what the problem may be?

do a file check on game.
