Any point to rolling Human?

May be a stupid question, but had to ask.

Any real difference between genders? Or is it all just style?

It's like 90% aesthetics. The difference in stats between the races is a drop in the bucket compared to what your total stats will be with equipment. It used to be more important when the equipment requirements for units were more strict, but now that they've made them as lax as they are now, it's a non issue.

What Xaeris said. Unless your an insane min maxer who can't sacrifice that one extra point, there isn't really not much of a difference.

I would say hell no because with dewmans around now it just makes humans the race thats just there and nothing more. on the stat side of things they really don't have a huge difference going for them over the other races and really you're a human in real life why be one when you have 3 other races to choose from

Humans would have higher HP than Dewmans, and the stats would be a bit more even than Casts (or rather, just higher Tech stats).

But yeah, other than FOcast, it really doesn't matter that much, your stats will let you compare well against others. Even FOcast isn't that bad, it's just the largest difference among the race/class combinations. It can be significant if you want it to be.

If you know you aren't going to switch classes a lot (which you're kind of already locked into because you only get a single mag unless you pay real money) it would definitely be a good idea to choose the right race. But it's not so horribly crippling to be worth playing something you can't stand to look at.

I went human just cause I knew I'd want to some day max all my classes and I hear it's good for a general all-around race.

Plus I don't like elves.

There really isn't much of a point otherwise. Even less so when the level cap goes to 65.

To be clear, I dislike any creature with long ears.

Heterochromia is ok, as well as horns, and cyborgs though.

Duman is probably the best if you want to play every class. They don't suffer in any particular stat and have the highest physical attack stats(including ranged). However they lack dex and HP of a cast Ranger, which might still be preferable if you want to main ranger or gunner since you'll barely lose any r-atk in the process.
