Yeah, my one gripe with the stats were how terrible FOcasts had it because of lower tatk AND lower tdef, meaning they had to double dip for for stat ups or mag investments to equip gear that was up to par for any given level. Now that units have had their def requirements reduced so much that's not an issue anymore, and things are a whole lot easier for them.

Given that aside from the casts all those races are human just not the garden variety they are still human, I will argue that you are rolling human regardless.

honestly i wish there was a more significant difference in stats. It just feels pointless to have races if they're all almost the same except for casts.

I don't. I don't even want these differences. I want significant differences in classes, not races. Races can't be changed without paying or deleting a character and you only get two per account without paying - classes are where the differences should all stay.

Nope. Human is worthless, along with cast. Newman and Dewman are the only races that are worth using. Newman for techs, dewman for everything else.

Unless stats don't matter to you, in which case you shouldn't even be reading this thread in the first place. Just pick the race that looks good to you.
